L.A. Care Health Plan believes that healthcare is a fundamental human right, and that EVERYONE – no matter their race, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity – deserves the opportunity to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. As the largest health plan in Los Angeles County, L.A. Care is proud to celebrate health equity and inclusion as a sponsor of the LA Pride Parade, and to reaffirm its commitment to serving all Angelenos with dignity and respect.
The 55th Annual LA Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the heart of Hollywood. This year’s parade theme, “Pride Marches On,” honors the tenacity and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community in Los Angeles and will pay tribute to the city’s first responders, relief organizations, agencies, officials and others who stepped up during the January 2025 Wildfires.
More than 100 L.A. Care employees will take part in this year’s parade. L.A. Care will also have a booth at the LA Pride Village, a free street festival featuring programming on two stages, sponsor activations, food trucks, giveaways and games.
For years, L.A. Care has been providing access to quality health care to LGBTQ+ individuals and advocating for LGBTQ+ health equity. In fact, each year, L.A. Care invests millions of dollars in community health programs across Los Angeles County — including funding for organizations that serve LGBTQ+ youth and adults. We deliver compassionate, culturally responsive care, prioritize access to mental health care, provide gender-affirming care when medically necessary, and support HIV prevention and education. These efforts help create safer, more affirming spaces where all people can get the care they need.
At a time when many have scaled back their diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, L.A. Care remains steadfast in its commitment to reducing healthcare disparities for all members of the LGBTQ+ community and working with its partners to foster a healthy, welcoming, and more inclusive Los Angeles.
