Standards

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Priority 1 checkpoints are the basis for a standard of accessibility.  The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are part of a series of Web accessibility guidelines published by the W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative. They consist of a set of guidelines on making content accessible, primarily for disabled users, but also for all user agents, including highly limited devices, such as mobile phones.

Each page of lacare.org also conforms to the Technical Standards for Web-based intranet and internet information and applications defined in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 794d).
