Behavior Health Benefits
L.A. Care offers behavioral health services through Carelon Behavioral Health.
Benefits may include:
- Individual and group mental health evaluation and treatment (psychotherapy)
- Psychological testing (prior authorization required)
- Medication support services for the purpose of monitoring drug therapy and psychiatric consultation, as needed.
- Outpatient laboratory, drugs, supplies, and supplements

Crisis Services (for commercial lines of business)
- Behavioral Health crisis services that are provided to an enrollee by a 988 center, mobile crisis team, or other provider of behavioral health crisis services, regardless of whether the service is provided by an in-network or out-of-network provider or facility.
