L.A. Care’s New CEO Leads L.A. Care Contingent in the 40th Annual Kingdom Day Parade

Martha Santana-Chin, who became the CEO of L.A. Care Health Plan on January 6, 2025, led staffers in the 40th Annual Kingdom Day Parade, the largest and longest running life celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. L.A. Care was proud to be among the sponsors of the parade, with members of the health plan’s Black Empowerment Alliance for Cultural Unity & Networking (BEACUN) affinity group walking the route through historic Leimert Park. This year’s theme was Peace and Unity, Let It Start with Us.

Participating in this event aligns with Santana-Chin’s goal to strengthen partnerships in communities across Los Angeles County. She and BEACUN invited all L.A. Care employees and their families to join in the celebration of Dr. King, where they could reflect on his inspiring legacy while building connections with the community we serve.

The Kingdom Day Parade was held Monday, February 17, 2025.
