L.A. Care is proud to sponsor a program that is working to break down the barriers to accessing health care by providing underserved individuals with digital devices for telehealth visits. The program is targeting low-income and elderly individuals, and those with limited mobility who may have difficulty accessing traditional healthcare services at brick and mortar facilities. At a Wellness Festival on Saturday, May 27, Health Matters Clinic will be distributing 100 digital devices that will allow individuals to connect with healthcare providers remotely.
L.A. Care is committed to health equity, which means everyone has a fair and just opportunity to be as healthy as possible, and this program will help reduce disparities that plague underserved populations. Ultimately, it will help to improve the health and well-being of those in need. In fact, Health Clinic Matters says digital devices have helped to reduce hospital readmissions and have improved care coordination with providers. All of this leads to increased patient satisfaction with their health care.
The Health Matters Clinic Wellness Festival is:
Saturday, May 27
Green Meadows Recreation Center
431 E. 89th Street
