Gun violence is a public health crisis. As such, healthcare professionals must take an active role in efforts to prevent gun violence and the devastation it causes in communities all across the country. L.A. Care Health Plan, the nation’s largest publicly operated health plan, is going to host a webinar to help healthcare providers develop strategies to join the effort to reduce gun violence.
Alex Li, MD, L.A. Care’s Chief Health Equity Officer, is the moderator of the webinar titled Prioritizing Patient Safety by Reducing Firearm Injury & Death: What Clinicians Can Do. The webinar will include a presentation by Amy Barnhorst, MD, Director of The BulletPoints Project, a resource for clinicians and medical educators who are committed to firearm injury prevention.
