The Los Angeles Business Journal is hosting its 2023 Women’s Leadership Symposium and Awards this week, and Misty de Lamare, the Communications Director for L.A. Care Health Plan, will be among more than a dozen top businesswomen in Los Angeles providing inspiration and education during a series of panel discussions. de Lamare will participate in a panel titled Can we really ‘HAVE IT ALL’?, a discussion on the importance of work/life balance.
Each panelist will offer their opinion on whether it is possible to ‘have it all.’ de Lamare will discuss barriers to achieving work/life balance, and how she provides a safe space for her team to practice work/life balance. She will also offer suggestions on how to use the people in your life for the support needed to prevent or address burnout.
Joining de Lamare on the panel are Angela Agrusa, Managing Partner of DLA Piper in Los Angeles, Precious Mayes, CEO and President of Pacifica Hospital of the Valley, Kelly O’Neil, Lead Managing Director for CBIZ MHM, and Lori Roth, Global Managing Partner of Prager Metis International.
The topics on other panel discussions include the pressures of leadership roles, the importance of mentorship, getting on boards and supporting the nonprofit community, and supporting other businesswomen.
The afternoon portion of the symposium will include an awards program where the Los Angeles Business Journal will honor outstanding achievements by women who make a difference throughout Los Angeles.
