ABC 7 Reports on L.A. Care's Partnership with Project Angel Food

ABC 7 Eyewitness News interviewed L.A. Care Chief Medical Officer Dr. Richard Seidman about the health plan's partnership with Project Angel Food.

As part of the state's pilot project, Food is Medicine, the partnership is delivering free, low-sodium fresh meals to Medi-Cal patients who have congestive heart failure and are at risk for repeated hospital readmissions. The goal of the pilot project is to show how medically tailored meals can lead to better outcomes and lower health care costs.
