Antelope Valley Direct Network
To enhance member experience and build an even more efficient provider network, L.A. Care began developing a direct network with providers and hospitals in the Antelope Valley, where more than 100,000 of our underserved members live. The network launched in January 2016.
Provider Incentives
From October 2014 to September 2015, L.A. Care provided nearly $32.3 million in incentives to physicians, hospitals, clinics, medical groups and Plan Partners, one of the few Medicaid health plans to do so.
HITEC-LA
HITEC-LA, an L.A. Care project, worked with more than 5,800 L.A. County health care providers since the program's inception. More than 3,000 of those providers have achieved meaningful use of electronic health records and consequently qualify for federal incentives.
Continuing Education
L.A. Care offers practice based continuing medical education to physicians and nurses, providing the information, skills and strategies they need to deliver safe, high quality health care to their patients. From October 2014 to September 2015, we offered more than 50 opportunities, through programs and conferences, for continuing education.
