What is L.A. Care Health Plan?
L.A. Care Health Plan is the nation’s largest publicly-operated health plan, serving over 2 million residents of Los Angeles County through a variety of health programs, including L.A. Care Covered, Medi-Cal, L.A. Care Medicare Plus, and the PASC-SEIU Homecare Workers Health Care Plan. Our mission is to provide quality health care to our community, focusing on vulnerable populations through innovative partnerships with local providers.
What are the Regional Community Advisory Committees (RCACs)?
Since 1999, L.A. Care has partnered with volunteer community members in the Regional Community Advisory Committees (RCACs). The RCACs play a crucial role in shaping and advising the design of our health services, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of Los Angeles County residents. RCAC members participate in community forums, where L.A. Care shares updates and receives feedback on local health issues and services.
Why should you apply to become a RCAC member?
As a member of a RCAC, you will have a significant role in influencing health care services across Los Angeles County. Your insights contribute to decisions that enhance health care for all members. RCAC members meet every two months, providing a platform to advocate for effective health care solutions, and connect with community health advocates and healthcare providers.
