How do you deal with patients when they tell you that they do not want to be vaccinated?

We certainly understand that it can be difficult to convince those who are vaccine hesitant to get a COVID-19 vaccine. Research clearly shows that doctors and their staff are an important trusted source for our members. This is an especially important factor as we are living in a time where vaccination is a proven way to protect ourselves, those around us and the community.

As health care professionals, together we play an essential role in dispelling misinformation and encouraging your patients to get vaccinated and bring this pandemic under control.

The L.A. County Department of Public Health COVID-19 Vaccine Myths and Facts sheet may be useful to you as a resource for having a sensitive conversations about the importance of vaccination.
