L.A. Care 2018-2019 Annual Report

As we face an unprecedented pandemic, it feels strange to look back on the past year in review. Was there a time pre-COVID? Please know that L.A. Care Health Plan continues to work with our provider partners and county health leaders to ensure our members have access to the health care they need.

L.A. Care has been a publicly operated health plan since 1997, serving Medi-Cal members in Los Angeles County. In 2014, when we decided to participate in Covered California, the state’s Affordable Care Act exchange, we became the first true public option in the marketplace… and guess what? Our model is thriving and serves as a case study for what to do, particularly in uncertain times.

As evidenced below, we are proud of the work L.A. Care is doing as the people’s health plan. We remain committed to our vision of health care access and quality for all of our members.
