L.A. Care Health Plan is the highest-rated Medi-Cal managed care plan in Los Angeles County, as shown by the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2019–2020.
L.A. Care was rated 4 out of 5 in the annual listing that rates private, Medicare and Medicaid health insurance plans based on their combined HEDIS®, CAHPS® and NCQA Accreditation standards scores.
In addition, L.A. Care's Medi-Cal line of business once again received an NCQA accreditation status of "Commendable". NCQA awards the Commendable status for service and clinical quality that meet their rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement.
