Fatima Vasquez, Member, ECAC Chair
Fatima Vasquez first volunteered as a member of RCAC 7 in 2011, serving the communities of Huntington Park, Bellflower, Norwalk, and Cudahy.
In 2014, Ms. Vasquez was elected vice chair of RCAC 7 and became chair in 2016. In 2019, she was elected chair of the Executive Community Advisory Committee, a body consisting of 11 RCAC chairs and two at-large members, which advises the Board of Governors about things that should be changed to help better serve the community.
As a volunteer, Ms. Vazquez quickly learned the inner workings of different health plans and their coverage, making her an invaluable advocate and resource for L.A. Care members. Her energy, enthusiasm and vision will bring the collective member voice to the Board.
