Los Angeles — L.A. Care is once again proud to be a presenting sponsor for Care Harbor/LA, an annual health fair bringing care to thousands of Angelenos. This year's free clinic will be held at The REEF (1933 South Broadway) in downtown Los Angeles from November 17-19. Care Harbor/LA will provide medical, dental, vision and preventive care to the most vulnerable residents of Los Angeles — adding their critically-needed support to L.A.'s safety net.
Care Harbor/LA will also pilot a new program to identify and treat medical issues for those who are homeless, with post-clinic engagement and follow-up care. In addition, Care Harbor/LA will offer Hepatitis A vaccines in partnership with the L.A. County Department of Public Health, as well as a special program on diabetes prevention and management — both new efforts in response to emerging healthcare needs in L.A. County.
To enter and receive services, people should have picked up a free wristband this past weekend. You must have a wristband to enter the clinic. Walk-ups will not be admitted.
If you were able to get a wristband, please don't forget to go to the clinic and take advantage of this important opportunity to improve your health and strengthen your well-being.
