How to Get Your Prescriptions Filled
Step 1: Find a pharmacy with our Pharmacy Search. Or, look in the pharmacy section of your provider directory to find a pharmacy in your neighborhood.
Step 2: Bring your prescription to the pharmacy.
Step 3: Show the Pharmacy your L.A. Care Health Plan ID Card.
A $5 co-payment is charged to members for each prescription medication, except prescription contraceptive drugs and devices.
90-day Supply of Maintenance Medications
You can now get a 90-day supply of maintenance medications at some local pharmacies. Maintenance medications are drugs that you need to take for a long time, such as pills for high blood pressure or diabetes. Call our Member Services Department for a list of these pharmacies at 1-888-839-9909.
Prescriptions by Mail
You now have the option of getting a 90-day supply of maintenance medications through the mail to your home or place of employment. You can call our Member Services Department for the form at 1-888-839-9909 or download it from the link below. This service is free if you choose to use it.
