Courtney A. Powers, Director of Government and External Affairs, Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County
Courtney Powers is the Director of Government and External Affairs for the Community Clinic Association (CCALAC) of Los Angeles County, an association of 65 community clinics serving underserved patients. In this role, she advocates the policy agenda of CCALAC at local, state and federal levels of government.
Prior to joining CCALAC, Powers served as vice president and general counsel of GRACE, a non-profit organization that strives to address child poverty in California. Ms. Powers has served as an adjunct professor at UCLA School of Law and Occidental College, teaching courses on health policy, and has published numerous articles in both popular and academic publications. She is the Immediate Past President of the UCLA School of Law Alumni Board of Directors.
Powers received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley (Phi Beta Kappa) and her J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.
